Schapelle Corby was given 20 years in jail for allegedly smuggling cannabis. Judge Sirait said, “The accused Schapelle Leigh Corby has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing the crime without right and against the law, of importing type 1 narcotics.”
What is truly unbelievable in this conclusion, the judges disregarded every piece of evidence presented by Corby. The drugs bag had not been finger-printed, evidence was ignored from her family and friends who traveled with her on the the flight into Bali & a forensic test on the drugs was refused.
In addition, the baggage was contaminated at the airport and therefore the main part of her defense was destroyed and not only did she have to make the plea in her own defense (her own written statement) the Judges apparently had no translation thus didn’t understand a word she was saying.
And, the chief judge proudly boasted on more than one occasion before the judgment was handed down that no accused had been spared by him from over 500 who had appeared before him.
Is this justice!?
In response many Australians are now boycotting everything Indo including requesting our government to stop our billion dollar tsunami aid. This is very un-Australian, all this will do is hurt the incident victims of this horrific natural disaster who may have no place to sleep, food or fresh clean water. Australians really need to put things into perspective as this has nothing to do with Indo legal system and should not be encouraged.
The main reasons we visit Indo is for the great value for money travelling is cheap and are main activities are surfing, relaxing, swimming and sight seeing. Having been to Indo on four occasions I do not think our visits solely influence the Indo economy greatly. I mean how much cheap crap can you buy before it starts to improve their economy.

Monaco Grand Prix, the most glamorous event on the Formula One calendar has seen Kimi Raikkonen blitz the field from pole position to the finish line. In his 200th Grand Prix Kimi Raikkonen has celebrated with a win and is now looking at a hat-trick in round 7 Europe – Nurburgring.
Mark Webber again made a poor start in his Williams, dropping from a potential third to fifth behind both Giancarlo Fisichella and Jarno Trulli. Webber also came under threat from team-mate Nick Heidfeld, but just kept the German at bay into turn one.
By lap 70 Kimi was already on the podium, all that remained was sorting out who would be standing on either side of him. With Alonso’s tyres deteriorating rapidly he found himself frantically defending second place by keeping the Williams boys at bay. Largest in his mirrors was Heidfeld the German having benefited from an early second stop while Webber remained hot on their tails.
In the end Heidfeld and then Webber both overtook Alonso in clearly the best day of what has been a trying season for Williams. With third position Webber scored the best result of his Formula One career so far however he didn’t seem too impressed “It’s my first podium finish in F1 and it’s very good to have two cars on the podium here, after a not so easy start to this season,” Webber said. “I was stuck behind Jarno in the first part of the race and it was frustrating.”
“Then unfortunately Nick passed me at the second pit stop and we were both again held up by Alonso, who was struggling with his tyres. We showed today good performance and reliability. I just wished I could have driven in some clean air today.”
The podium finish moved Webber two places to fourth in the Driver’s Standings

There are many different types of surfboard grip available, they all do the same thing but I’ve chosen to re-wax my board with Mrs Palmers wax. I’ve been using Sex Wax and found myself slipping off my board, hopefully Mrs Palmers ultra sticky wax formula will keep me steady.
Now I’m the first to admit I cannot use the wax as an excuse for my poor performance up to now but I’m hoping it may help me a little.
Deck Grip & Foot Pads are widely used and I looked at a few but decided I’d get a little better then test it out on a hire board first.
May 22, 2005 – after fours in the surf today I’m happy to report Mrs Palmers is working wonders and I think my performance has improved two-fold. Cheers Mrs Palmer.
