Fernando Alonso became Formula One’s youngest champion by finishing third in the Brazilian (Sao Paulo) Grand Prix last night. The 24 yr old only required a top three finish in a race won by Juan Pablo Montoya of McLaren-Mercedes.
Finally, McLaren received the result they’ve being fighting for all season, finishing first (Montoya) and second (Raikkonen) followed closely by Alonso in third which was enough to clinched the 2005 world title.
Mark Webbers team mate Antonio “Pizza Man” Pizzonia & David Coulthard ruined his race within the first 100m. Coulthard hit Pizza Man who hit Webber forcing him to the pit for repairs, Webber eventually rejoined the race to finish 17th.
With two more races this season and the pressure off, I’m looking forward to seeing some exciting driving next round in Japan

The Sydney Swans clung on to win their first Australian Football League title in 72 years with a gripping four point victory over the West Coast Eagles in the grand final today. Sydney won the season-decider 8.10 (58) to 7.12 (54), breaking the longest premiership drought in the league’s history.
Sydney dominate the first half but seemed to fade in the third quarter as West Coast lifted with three goals to set up the outstanding last quarter.
In the last quarter, Sydney kicked four successive behinds to keep West Coast in the match, but defender Leo Barry took a match saving mark in the frenetic last few seconds and his team mates mobbed him when the final siren sounded
With Essendon finishing 13th this season (8 wins, 14 losses) not alot went right for the Bombers however with a few good draft selections and/or maybe a trade or two the Dons should be premiership contenders again next season.

Today, we say farewell & wish ASM Giles all the best in his race across the Sahara Desert of western Egypt.
Giles will have six(6) days to run, walk & crawl over 250km in fierce temperatures to reach the finish. He’ll be required to carry all his food, gear & clothing throughout the race….water is provided.
His training for the event has included several morning runs covering large distances over Sydney streets & more recently the Sydney Marathon. Giles also came up with a few ideas to lighten the load, he had his Appendix removed & did a few practice runs down Elizabeth Street with no pants.
Why is he doing this race? The most simple explaination is that he’s nuts but he also likes the spot light and with live coverage he should get his 5 minutes of fame. Plus return a man…….

Yeah, but no, but yeah, but… You see, me and the other Little Britain dolls are all going on sale this week. Yeah but don’t believe it. Cos Britney told me it and she’s a slapper and she hasn’t got her own doll. Loser! and yeah but we go on sale via Boys Stuff.
And if you tickle our tumbs, you slag, then it is like we say really interesting fings, but yeah. Like we are having a laugh. And if you like you can do what Melanie did cos she swapped her baby Darius for a Lou and Andy doll and they threw in a Westlife CD. Which is a terrible. Cos Westlife are rubbish and besides everyone knows you can only get pregnant by sitting on the toilet seat in the boys’… Anyway Shaddup cos I never done nuthin’ nor nuthin’ and anyone says I did is well gonna get beatens.

You may have seen the below email floating around, we should be thinking globally not locally…..so everyone reading this, living o/s, please copy the below and forward to all your contacts.
IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.
AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.
THEREFORE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED “STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND ” DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.
WAITING ON THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?
REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF PETROL GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.IF THEY DON’T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.
SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE SEPTEMBER 22nd A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”
