Another New Arrival

I can now get rid of that bloody bean bag, because I have a new (second hand but new to me) lounge!

I hired a ute from Manly Rentals, put up with half of Sydney streets (Harbour Bridge included) being closed for a bloody marathon and dealt with the traffic around the Sydney Football Ground for a Sydney FC game to pick it up from Bondi Junction. If you don’t know Sydney then trust me, when you combine all of that on a Sunday you’d be annoyed too. After setting it in place and parking my butt on it for five minutes all the stress built up went straight out the window. I am loving my new purchase, even more than my new kitchen which I think is a big call. :)

My Castle

It’s official or should I say settled! At 2:40pm today, the real estate agent LJ Hooker, Manly handed me keys to my first property. I’m now ‘living via a mortgage’ or ‘in the rat race’ or ‘up that certain creek without a paddle’, either way I’m now living the Australian dream.

Actually in all honestly, at this stage, I’m just bloody happy that I’ve finally own my own place after two years of saving and looking all over Sydney for a place.

Now the fun part begins, renovating! Ten minutes after collecting the keys I was in my place with my plumber talking about what I need done. I then got to work at removing the kitchen. I hope to have the major part of the reno completed by 12 June 06.

Illumi Bathtub

Bathe yourself in either a nice orange, yellow, pink, red, or a nice fluorescent white. While I can’t imagine anyone actually needing such a thing, some warped designers have gone ahead and created an LED-lit polyethylene (plastic) tub. You can even customize it for a multi-color LED model in case you’re indecisive on just what color you.
I thought this might bring a bit of romance to your bathroom but then I noted the price: US$1399 for the single color, and US$2499 for the multi-colored version, nice bunch of flowers from Roses Only would do the trick better.
